We fund Young Enterprise Fellowships, which are aimed specifically at recently qualified postdoctoral researchers primarily in the fields of engineering, computer science, maths and physics who wish to develop a long-term programme of biomedical research.Applicants must either be in the final year of their PhD studies or be an early-career researcher with a maximum of 3 years post-doctoral experience (excluding career breaks). More information can be found here.
In addition we fund a number of research fellowships at leading UK universities. These fellowships are aimed at high calibre early career researchers, supporting them to establish their independent career and become the research leaders of the future. We currently fund fellowships at UCL, Imperial and Newcastle. For further information and to apply for a fellowship, please contact the host university directly.

In partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons we fund one year surgical research fellowships. These are designed to encourage surgical fellows to carry out ground-breaking research at a UK institution. For more details and to apply please contact the Royal College of Surgeons.
We also fund a number of MBPhD students at UCL and Cambridge. The programme enables undergraduate medical students to integrate a PhD with their clinical education These are aimed at students who want to pursue a clinical career that encompasses a significant research component.
Young Enterprise Fellowships
Funded once a year, Young Enterprise Fellowships are designed to enable recently qualified postdoctoral researchers primarily in the fields of engineering, computer science, maths and physics to transition into translational biomedical research.
