Density dependent colour scanning electron image of cardiovascular calcification. Dr. Sergio Bertazzo, UCL

Our PhD studentships are aimed at established researchers who have a strong track record in their field, and have previous experience in supervising PhD students. We only accept applications from the proposed supervisor. Students who are interested in Rosetrees studentships should contact a potential supervisor in a UK university or research institute.

Please note we have separate application deadlines for stipend and consumables funding and consumables only funding.

How to apply

**Please note that due to a restructuring of our grant funding schemes, we will not be funding PhD studentships beginning in 2020/2021. Please check our website in 2020 for further updates**.

Review process

All grants will be initially assessed by our internal scientific committee to confirm eligibility, adherence to application stipulations and that they fall within our scientific remit. Applications will be scored by a scientific panel based on their application form (written clarity, feasibility, experimental plan) and record of the supervisor. Shortlisted applications will then be reviewed further by an expert panel and the best projects will be selected for funding
